Meet Ben
I'm a driven, young Professional who wants to get to the top of the game we all love. Since I can remember, football has been my passion and I've always had the goal of getting to the top, as I am sure you do.
I started out in Sunday league until I was 11. I trained with 2 premier league academies before I then signed for a London based Professional academy for 9 years (2 of which were as an under 18 Professional scholar).
Following those 2 years, I earned a Professional contract which I had for 2 years before moving on from that club.
I had my first taste of mens football in those 2 years on various loan spells. I loved it! There is nothing better than playing in a big game in front of your home crowd!
I am now playing full time in the Conference South and I am working every day, in all areas I can, to improve, learn and perform to my highest levels.
I have been in team captain roles all my life and through my 9 years in Professional youth football I always had the armband. I have also kept to these leadership principles and responsibilities moving into the senior game too.
I have always loved and thrived under this responsibility and have tried my best to be a mentor to players around me - even without meaning to be.
This leads me to my Why?
I am now pursuing my other passion, helping and supporting players, in particular youth players, who are in the exact 'boots' I was once in.
Over the last 10 years I have seen, trained and played with 1000's of players at all levels. I have seen the ones who have succeeded and the ones who unfortunately haven't.
I have felt the huge positives and also negatives in football and know just how hard it will be - just to reiterate, it will be one of the most hard, stressful and painful journeys you may embark on, but also one of the best, enjoyable and most rewarding ones there is.
I now want to support, guide and help as many young players as I can, to succeed and enjoy every second of what they are doing.
I have the sole focus of not just the player, but the person too.
